This postcard comes from Le Réfuge du Grand Hotel at around 2,000m above Serre Chevalier in the southern Alps.

I’d never slept on a mountain before and was extremely excited to be taking my overnight bag in the gondola that morning knowing that, when the last skiers of the day gave in to the inevitability of the last lift, we’d still be there.
